Nicole Caroline Tecson, RMT

Nicole is a massage practitioner who graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy. Nicole is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia. Prior to becoming an RMT, she spent eight years working as a doctor’s assistant. She wanted to expand her capabilities and make a more direct impact for patients, be more hands-on and she doesn’t think she can get more hands-on than massage therapy.

Nicole is dedicated to helping her patients improve their quality of life and provides patient-centered care by tailoring each treatment to her patient’s goals with the use of a variety of techniques. She has experience in working with patients with sports or work related injuries, pregnancy, tension headaches, chronic pain, and motor vehicle accidents.

In her spare time, you can find her going on food adventures, hiking, playing badminton or billiards, traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and watching Netflix while cuddling with her dog Melody.

Ikigai Therapy

Ikigai is a Japanese concept that represents the intersection of several essential elements in one’s life. It can be understood as the “reason for being” or the “reason to wake up in the morning.” The term combines the Japanese words 「生き」”iki,” meaning life or living, and 「甲斐」 “gai,” meaning value or worth.

At its core, ikigai encompasses four key dimensions that contribute to a fulfilling and purposeful life: passion, mission, profession and vocation.

This word, ikigai, holds great significance for me. As a massage therapist, I have found my ikigai in the practice of massage therapy itself. I strongly believe that each person has a unique purpose. With my deep passion for massage therapy, I have discovered my calling: to assist others in improving their physical well-being and empowering them to pursue their own ikigai.

Witnessing the positive impact that massage therapy can have on people’s lives brings me a sense of fulfillment. It is a privilege for me to be a part of this process, as I am committed to utilizing my skills and expertise to support individuals. By embracing my ikigai as a massage therapist, I believe that I am contributing to a greater purpose—supporting others on their personal journeys to discover their own reason for being.
